Geographically, Horsens is situated in the centre of Denmark, which makes it an attractive place to do business, especially in terms of logistics and transportation. Some of the biggest players in this industry have chosen to have their headquarters in Horsens. The city is located in the proximity of European Route E45 - the longest north-south European route. It goes between Sweden and Italy, through Denmark, Germany and Austria.

The largest Danish traffic terminal - with 300 loading ramps - is also located in the region and is operated by DSV. There are several other logistics and transportation companies in the municipality, due to the developed infrastructure and ease of access to: land, water and air transportation channels.

The main terrestrial transportation channel is the afford-mentioned E45, which allows crossing Jutland from south to north to Sweden. Within 45 minutes’ drive of Horsens, there are 2 commercial airports – Århus Airport (AAR - http://aar.dk) and Billund Airport (BLL - http://www.bll.dk) – Denmark’s 2nd largest commercial airports.

The Port of Horsens (DKHOR) is located in the city and it has the water depth of 6,9 m. The port has the capacity and experience to deal with various cargo-sizes, as well as it offers transporting solutions starting from the pier and onto the last link in the transporting process.
