Economical Support

SU

If you are a student in Denmark, have an EU citizenship and have either lived in Denmark for the past 5 years or have been or are working in Denmark at least 10–12 hours a week you are entitled to benefit from governmental economic support (SU). To find out more information, visit the webpage of the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Educational Support. VIA UC in Horsens offers counseling regarding SU for all its programmes. Contact your class supervisor or the reception to be directed to the SU-office.

SPS

If you are eligible to receive SU and have disabilities, you are entitled to receive Special Disability Support (SPS – in Danish). This support will cover expenses for any special need that your particular disability requires, e.g. computer programmes, special chairs or lamps etc. You can find more information (in Danish) on http://www.su.dk/SaerligStoette/handicaptillaeg/Sider/default.aspx or you are also welcome to contact a SPS counselor at VIA.
